In order to ensure an enjoyable stay for all, we ask guests to respect
one another by adhering to the following policies and procedures.

REGISTRATION
Extending Your Stay: Long-term discounts
may be applied to extended stays. Make sure you've made reservations
for your return visit before you leave. Guests should make every
effort to book long stays as soon as possible as site requests are
based on the date and time of the telephone reservation. Maximum
stay is 180 days.
Checkout: Checkout and re-registration
time is 12:00 noon. Site rent is due and payable in advance. Check
In: 12:00 noon.
Storage of Transport Dollies & Tow Vehicles:
Transport dollies must be stored in the Emerald Desert RV
storage area. Provisions have been made in this area specifically
for transport dollies. Tow vehicles, which are not currently being
used or of such size and configuration that they cannot be reasonably
accommodated on the RV site, must be stored in the RV storage area
at a nominal fee.
Leaving Early: Refunds cannot be made
for early departures and the unused portion of your reserved stay.
Guests: The site rent is based on a
two (2) person or less occupancy. An additional $3.00 fee is required
per person for overnight stays. All overnight guests must register
at the resort Check-in office.
You are responsible for the actions of your guests.
This resort is for adults. For child visitation, see section titled,
"YOUNG PERSONS VISITATION".
Subletting: Subletting your site or
RV is not allowed at any time.
Site Parking: All vehicles shall be
parked on paved site pad.

SERVICES
Off-Season Guest Services Are Limited
(5/1 - 10/31)
Laundry: Laundry facilities are located
in the Fitness Center, Oasis Club and Vista Pavilion. Clotheslines
and outdoor drying of laundry is not permitted. During the summer,
the Vista Pavilion and Oasis Club facilities are closed.
Mailboxes, Outgoing Mail Drops: Mailboxes
are located in the Fitness Center Building. A personal mail box
is available for long-term guests. A refundable key deposit is required.
Onsite Mail Room services are also available. Inquire at Check-In
Office for details. The nearest United States Post Office is approximately
4 miles away.
Barbecue Courtyards: Emerald Desert
has provided barbecue areas with natural gas barbecue's, next to
the Main, Vista & Oasis Clubhouses to entertain family and friends
when not reserved by organized RV groups.
Book Exchange: For your enjoyment,
we have a variety of books, games and puzzles in our book exchange
located in the main clubhouse. Donations of books are always accepted.
Lost and Found: The Lost & Found
is located in the Pro Shop. The Resort cannot be responsible for
loss or damage due to fire, accident or theft.
Propane Gas (Seasonal): Inquire
at the Check-in Office for delivery dates. The Check-in Office will
provide you with a card to put in your window if you wish delivery.
Vehicle Washing: The vehicle wash station
is located across from the Oasis Club facility. PLEASE USE ONLY
BIO-DEGRADABLE SOAP, WAX AND CLEANERS AS ALL SURFACE DRAINAGE GOES
INTO EMERALD DESERT'S GOLF COURSE LAKES. Washing of RV's on
site is permitted provided bio-degradable products are used. Washing/waxing
of vehicles must be accomplished without interfering or disturbing
neighboring RVer's quiet use and enjoyment of their RV sites. Any
damage to neighboring RVs resulting from on-site washing of RVs,
i.e., water spots, abrasion, denting, etc., will be the responsibility
of the offending RV guest.

TELEPHONE
Telephone: Telephone service at each
site is available for a nominal fee. Information is available at
the Check-in Office.
Messages: Phone messages for guests
will be filed in a message file drawer located at the Mail Room.
The message drawer is accessible 24 hours a day. Emerald Desert
will use its best effort to hand deliver emergency messages. Emerald
Desert, however, does not accept the responsibility for delivery
of emergency messages. If a guest has knowledge of a potential medical
emergency condition, Emerald Desert recommends that guests arrange
for telephone service to their site. Also, guests are reminded to
give family, friends, etc., Emerald Desert's medical emergency phone
number (760) 578-7986.
Public Pay Phones: Pay telephones are
available throughout the resort.
Internet Modem Access: Modem lines
are available in the main clubhouse for our guests who have a laptop
computer.

ACTIVITIES

Planned Activities are November - March Only
GOLF:
Golf Course: The following rules have
been adopted for the benefit and protection of all guests, golfers,
and the golf course itself. These rules, in conjuction with "Golf
Etiquette" will ensure that everyone's game is enjoyable and
that the play flows smoothly. No ball hunting or wading in the lakes
at any time. For safety reasons, no practicing on the golf course
or in the RV areas is permitted. Golf carts are not to be taken
from the Pro Shop area until they have been assigned. Golf course
is closed for reseeding October 10 - November 10 (approx. dates)
each year.
Damage: Those using the golf course
shall be held responsible for property which is damaged, destroyed
or removed by them, their families or their guests. Damage to persons
or property must be reported to management IMMEDIATELY. Please
advise the affected resident or guest and report any incident to
the Pro Shop. RVer agrees that he or she has received and executed
a copy of the Emerald Desert Golf & RV Resort's Waiver Release.
Emerald Desert will not be responsible for damage or injury caused
by golfers to other persons or their property.
Tee Times: The Pro Shop will reserve
a tee time up to four (4) days in advance for guests and three (3)
days in advance for the general public. Please notify the Pro Shop
when canceling a tee time. Club rentals are available for men, women
and "lefties".
Cart: Electric cart and pull cart rentals
are available. Only licensed drivers are allowed to operate electric
carts. No more than two (2) persons per cart and only two (2) carts
per foursome are permitted. Golfers shall abide by golf course rules.
Play: All players must register and
begin at the Pro Shop. Players should arrive at the Pro Shop fifteen
(15) minutes prior to tee time and check in with the Pro Shop upon
completion of the first round. Authorization is required to begin
the second round. See the Pro Shop for course hours of operation.
(The course is closed for re-seeding in October.) Call for course
opening date which will be sometime in early to mid-November.
Golf Attire: Complete and appropriate
golf attire shall be worn at all times. Spikeless or soft spike
golf shoes are the only acceptable footwear allowed on the golf
course. Please check with the Pro Shop staff if you should have
any questions.
TENNIS:
Courts: Tennis Courts are to be used
for playing tennis only. All beverages must be in plastic containers.
Tennis etiquette shall be practied at all times. Proper tennis attire
must be worn at all times including shirts and tennis shoes. Tennis
shoes with black soles are not permitted on the Tennis Courts.
Courtesy: Courts may be reserved by
signing the sign-up sheet provided at court side for one (1) hour
time periods. If there are no sign-ups for subsequent hours, then
play may continue until notified by a guest wishing to use the court.
The court which has been in use the longest, will relinquish said
court. Players may not sign-up for consecutive hours since this
would preclude others timely court access.
EXERCISE:
Fitness Center: (Open 11/1 - 4/30 ) All
equipment is to be employed in accordance with instructions posted
for its use. ALL FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT ARE USED AT THE RISK
OF THE INDIVIDUAL USING THEM. Equipment must be used safely
and with concern for the safety of others. PLEASE CONSULT A PHYSICIAN
PRIOR TO USE OF THIS EQUIPMENT. DO NOT USE THE EQUIPMENT IF YOU
HAVE A KNOWN HEART PROBLEM OR IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING BACK OR KNEE
PAIN.
SWIMMING:
Pools: PLEASE REMEMBER, THERE IS
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Showering before entering the pool is
required by the Health Department. PLEASE OBSERVE POSTED POOL
SAFETY RULES. Chairs and lounges may not be reserved at any
time. Please do not remove chairs or lounges from the pool area.
Portable radios and tape players without earphones are not allowed.
Rafts or floats, other than therapeutic devices are prohibited.
No glass is allowed around the pool (plastic only).
Spa: Persons must shower before entering
the spa. Soap and oil will damage the spa filter system. CONSULT
YOUR PHYSICIAN PRIOR TO USE. Consumption of alcohol and use of the
spa is dangerous and should be avoided.
CYCLING:
Bicycles: Emerald Desert offers lovely
areas for bicycle riding. Please observe all vehicle rules. No bicycle
riding permitted on vacant spaces, tennis courts, golf course, sidewalks
or within the pool enclosures. Bicycles must meet all City of Palm
Desert and State of California codes.
BILLIARDS:
Billiard Area: After play, please brush
down the table and rack the balls. PLEASE no food or beverage near
or on billiard tables.
HORSESHOE THROWING:
Horseshoe Pits: There are three (3)
horseshoe pits available for your recreational enjoyment. The Pits
are located behind the Oasis Club. Pits and horseshoes can be reserved
at the Pro Shop.
BOCCI BALL, CROQUET AND HOLI
BOARD GAMES:
All equipment is available for your enjoyment
and can be reserved through the Pro Shop.

SITE KEEPING
REQUIREMENTS
RV Length: All RVs at Emerald Desert
must be a minimum of nineteen (19) feet in length, self-contained
and maintained in a "Pride of Ownership"
condition. The determination of what constitutes "Pride
of Ownership" condition is the sole right of Emerald
Desert Golf & RV Resort. NO TENTS, or TENT TRAILERS.
Truck campers are permitted providing they are at least 19 feet,
in length, fully self-contained have been kept in "Pride
of Ownership" condition and shall
remain on the truck.
RV Pad: All RVs and tow vehicles must
park within the confines of the site cement pad, including overhang.
Your cooperation will ensure proper operation of our sprinkler system
and lawn maintenance.
Storage: Storage under or around your
RV or on your RV space is not permitted. Storage sheds and/or cabinets
are prohibited.
Hook-ups: State laws require proper
hook-ups. State law requires sealed sewer connections. If you see
something UNSAFE, please report it to management IMMEDIATELY.
Please bundle your hook-up lines and keep them elevated off the
grass. This will help to prevent unnecessary damage by lawn mowers.
Emerald Desert is NOT responsible for damaged sewer, water,
electrical, television or telephone hook-ups provided damage is
not due to a negligent act from the staff.
Trash: Trash is picked up on a daily
basis and must be put in plastic bags and placed at the curb in
front of your RV site no later than 9:30 a.m. for pick-up. Please
do not put your trash out overnight.
Site: Please keep your site neat and
clean at all times.
RV Repairs on Site: NO RV repairs are
to be made on site which require the use of power saws, power staplers,
impact wrenches or any other tools or activity which when used could
disturb RVers on nearby sites. Repairs are not to be made which
would require access from adjacent site. Repairs which may be accomplished
on site would be any repair which can be accomplished quietly in
a short period of time without disturbing guests on nearby sites.
The changing of fluids or other mechanical repairs are prohibited.
The determination of what constitutes a disturbing
repair shall be the sole right of Emerald Desert Golf & RV
Resort.
Neighbor Courtesy: Please be considerate
of your neighbors and reduce noise between the hours of 10:00 p.m.
and 8:00 a.m.. Generator use is prohibited at all times.
Parking: Parking on vacant RV spaces
within the Resort is not allowed. If there is a problem with parking,
please contact Emerald Desert management.
Campfire: The City of Palm Desert,
section 8.20.020 sub-section O, prohibits campfires. Barbecues are
permitted on your RV site.
Pets: Pets, i.e., cats and dogs, are
limited to a combination of two (2) per RV. A charge of $1.00 per
day per pet will be required; with a maximum charge of $15.00 per
pet. When outside your RV, your pets MUST BE ON A MAXIMUM 6 FOOT
LEASH. Pets may be walked only in the designated pet walk areas
in the resort and outside our main gates. Do not walk your pet on
any grass areas within the resort. Several pet walking areas inside
the park are listed on the site map.
Following these rules will earn you respect and
appreciation from your RV neighbors and friends.
Please clean up after your pet at all times, avoid
pet noise by not leaving your pet unattended, avoid using stakes
in grass area or tying pets to post/trees and keep leash to a maximum
of six feet.
Speed: In the interest of safety, please
observe the requested 15 m.p.h. speed limit while on the premises.
Motorcycles, scooters, mopeds or powered bikes must be equipped
for quiet operation.

VISITATION
Young Person Overnight Visitation (any person
under 18): Emerald Desert Golf & RV Resort is a Resort
for active adults. However, we do make some exceptions with regard
to visiting younger person. To qualify for young person overnight
visitation, a guest must be registered to stay a minimum of thirty
(30) consecutive days. If staying less than thirty (30) days,
young person overnight visitation is not allowed. If a guest
qualifies for young person overnight visitation, the dates on the
Visitation Calendar are the only dates for overnight visitation.
Please remember that all guest fees and policies also apply to young
persons. Young persons will be attended by a responsible adult at
all times. Emerald Desert always welcomes daytime young person
visits, however their use of the facilities (pools, spa, tennis
courts, any activity games or facilities, etc.) is prohibited.
During permitted overnight visitation, qualifying
young persons may use the facilities provided they are accompanied
by an adult. FOR SAFETY REASONS NO YOUNG PERSONS MAY AT ANYTIME
BE IN THE FITNESS CENTER. During daytime visitations, not on
the overnight visitation calendar, young persons are NOT PERMITTED
to use the facilities. Roller, in-line skating or bicycling is not
permitted by guests under 18 years. Skateboarding is not permitted
at anytime.
Young persons on the Golf Course must have a paid
Green Fee, have a set of clubs with a golf bag and be accompanied
by an older person.

MISCELLANEOUS
Guest Business Activity: Business or
commercial activity of any nature shall not be conducted on the
premises.
Guests may not display signs selling RVs, goods
or services of any kind on the resort premises unless otherwise
approved in writing by Emerald Desert management.
EMERALD DESERT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO
RENT A SITE TO RVers FOR WHICH THE INTENT IS TO CONDUCT COMMERCIAL
ACTIVITY.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in all
Emerald Desert Building.

GOVERNANCE
Vendors: In the interest of safety,
security and environmental concerns, all vendors must register with
management. Door to door soliciting is not permiteed. Should it
occur, please report it to the Check-In Office immediately.
Hazardous Waste: Disposal of Hazardous
Waste is not permitted within with Resort, (i.e., Motor Oil, Anti-Freeze,
Solvents, Chemical Agents, etc.).
Policy Changes: Emerald Desert reserves
the right to change these policies at any time.
We thank you for choosing Emerald Desert Golf &
RV Resort as your destination. It is our hope that you will return
many times in the future. We will endeavor to do everything possible
to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
