DESERT INSTITUTE AT JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK PRESENTS: WILDFLOWER WANDERINGS
Saturate your senses with the beauty of a wildflower bloom in Joshua Tree National Park from 9am-4pm on Saturday, April 8. Desert Naturalist, Darrell Shade will lead this all-day field class on a tour through the colorful flowers of a desert spring. BIRDING WALK AT SANTA ROSA AND SAN JACINTO MOUNTAINS NATIONAL MONUMENT VISITOR CENTER
Each Monday from 7-9am, walk on the Ed Hastey, and Randall Henderson Trails with an experienced birder to discover the year-round and migratory birds who call the Coachella Valley Desert their home. ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY FLOWER DROP AND AIR FAIR AT THE PALM SPRINGS AIR MUSEUM
1 pm is a very special day at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Held on May 29th, the daylong event features a Memorial Day service at 1pm is dedicated to those who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. In their honor, we highlight the service with a fly-by and flower drop of over 3,000 red and white carnations from a B-25 Mitchell Bomber. The entire day is filled with flight exhibitions, Heatwave Band, 82nd Airborne WWII re-enactors, Totally Twisted Balloons and Harpo the Clown, and lots of flying aircraft.
